Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced) is excited to announce that Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has selected Advanced’s CIS Infinity to replace its legacy customer information and billing solution (CIS). PVWC is Advanced’s first client in the state of New Jersey.
The Passaic Valley Water Commission owns, operates, and maintains an extensive water system which enables PVWC to provide potable drinking water to about one million people. The water system includes one water treatment plant and 650 miles of water distribution piping. As a large public potable water purveyor, PVWC is committed to providing its customers with safe, high quality water and service. PVWC has been innovative in acquiring other water utilities and selling wholesale treated water. PVWC also provides customer service operations, laboratory services, and maintenance services for a number of other water utilities / jurisdictions.
As a utility that seeks to achieve excellence throughout the organization, PVWC engaged in an extensive search for the best CIS solution to assist in the accomplishment of the Utility’s vision, mission, goals and objectives. For PVWC, world-class customer service is a foundation of these initiatives.
“Our increased demand for data analysis, integration, ease of use, and operational improvements dictated the need for process and system upgrades. PVWC’s existing CIS could not meet these demands without substantial enhancements,” states Joseph Bella, Executive Director of Passaic Valley Water Commission.
“PVWC therefore decided to implement a contemporary CIS based on the most current, proven technology to address our evolving operational demands in a cost efficient manner. CIS Infinity is the solution we were looking for as it provides the necessary system functionality to meet the requirements of PVWC.”
Mr. Bella continues, “In addition, Advanced provides a quality implementation plan and in turn we anticipate a high quality project delivered on time and on budget."
CIS Infinity will replace PVWC’s existing billing system and will be integrated to downstream applications such as: GIS, Meter Reading, Lockbox, and PVWC’s Financial Software. As well, CIS Infinity will provide automation in the areas of billing, collections, customer contact, reporting and security.
PVWC is also implementing Infinity.Link, Advanced’s customer self-service solutions as well as Infinity.Mobile for mobile service order management.
“Advanced Utility Systems is very excited to have PVWC as our first customer in the state of New Jersey. Advanced and PVWC will work together to ensure a successful implementation so that all of PVWC’s customers can benefit from the investment in CIS Infinity. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with PVWC,” states Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President of Advanced.
The project is now underway with the kickoff phase of the implementation recently completed.
