Toho Water Authority to Implement CIS Infinity and Infinity.Link

Advanced Utility Systems Welcomes its 6th Florida Client

Kissimmee, FL and Toronto, Canada. February 21, 2012

Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation ("Advanced”) is pleased to announce that Toho Water Authority, FL (“the Authority”) has selected Advanced’s flagship customer information and utility billing solution, CIS Infinity, to support its in-house customer service function for the Poinciana service area.

The Authority is a special independent district that provides water, wastewater, and reclaimed water service to most of Osceola County and portions of Orange and Polk Counties. Established in October 2003 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, Toho Water Authority is the largest provider of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services in Osceola County. The Authority currently has approximately 114,000 service connections (85,000 water, 18,000 irrigation, and 11,000 reclaimed water) providing service to a population of nearly 270,000 primarily in Kissimmee, Poinciana, and unincorporated areas of Osceola County, FL. The Authority is governed by a six (6) member Board responsible for approving all operating policies.

As part of a decision to transfer customer service functions in-house for the Poinciana service area, the Authority required customer information system (CIS) software that could support the Authority’s customer service business needs. After conducting a comprehensive review of proposals from qualified vendors, reference checks and on-site demonstrations, the Authority selected Advanced Utility Systems’ customer information and utility billing solution, CIS Infinity. The Authority will also implement Infinity.Link, Advanced’s customer web self-service application for on-line bill payment, account management and on-line service requests.

Rodney Henderson, Director of Business Services for the Authority commented: “As we transition to an in-house CIS, CIS Infinity will provide us with the functionality we need to meet our customer service goals. Advanced’s experience in implementing solutions for utilities like the Authority will be very beneficial as we move through this transition.” Mr. Henderson goes on to say, “Advanced is a company that is committed to being a market leader by focusing on long term customer satisfaction, being a best in breed solution, and bringing innovative customer information solutions to utilities. They not only have the functionality that we need today, but a product roadmap that demonstrates their commitment to serving utilities, like the Authority, for the long term. We are confident that Advanced is the right partner to meet the Authority’s business needs now and for the foreseeable future.”

Peter Fanous, General Manager for Advanced comments: “We not only believe that we are the right functional fit for the Authority, but our implementation team brings utility experience to help the Authority establish and enhance its business processes as part of their transition to in-house customer service. The Advanced Team will work closely with the Authority to document best business practices as part of a business discovery process and to ensure the outcomes are configured to maximize process automation. We are excited to be a part of Toho’s customer service project.”

Advanced will be on-site in March to kick off the project.
