Advanced Utility Systems Announces New Real-time Great Plains Interface

New interface provides seamless integration between CIS Infinity and Great Plains

Toronto, Canada. May 9, 2006

Advanced Utility Systems Corporation (Advanced) is pleased to announce a new real-time interface between CIS Infinity®, the customer information and billing software offered by Advanced and Microsoft’s Dynamics GP 9.0 product (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions– Great Plains). The new interface is available to all clients as part of Version 2 of CIS Infinity.

The new interface features real-time integration, from a centralized server, using the Financial Transaction Manager form in CIS Infinity. The form uses eConnect, a Microsoft development tool, to update Great Plains data for General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Payable (A/P) and bank deposits. The integration includes drill down capability from the G/L module in Great Plains directly to the CIS Infinity database. Since CIS Infinity is fully integrated with the Great Plains G/L module there is no need for users to manually import data into Great Plains or reconcile the data transfer.

Dynamics GP Integration makes cashiering information fully integrated between CIS Infinity and Great Plains. Cash batches entered into CIS Infinity and deposited at a bank will be automatically flagged as deposited in the Great Plains Bank Reconciliation module. As well, since CIS Infinity and the Great Plains Accounts Payable module are fully integrated, multiple refunds for the same customer will be grouped on one check and all data required for the check print will be transferred by CIS Infinity. The integration includes information that indicates when the check has been cashed being transferred back into CIS Infinity, allowing the refund to be reconciled.

All of these features are completely automated, resulting in a process that is transparent to users. Steven Hammond, Chief Information Officer of Advanced commented: “We’re very pleased to be able to offer our clients such seamless integration between CIS Infinity and Great Plains and we look forward to adding new functionality and expanding the integration in the future.”
