City of Danville Selects Harris' Advanced Utility Systems Corporation subsidiary to Lead Next Phase of ERP Project

Danville, Virginia and Toronto, Canada-Harris Computer Systems ("Harris"), a leading provider of financial, customer and student information management software solutions for utilities, local governments and schools, is pleased to announce the selection by the City of Danville ("City") of their Advanced Utility Systems Corporation ("Advanced") subsidiary's CIS Infinity solution to lead the next phase of their ERP project.

As part of the next phase of the City's ERP project, Advanced will be implementing CIS Infinity, as well as serving as the prime vendor, coordinating the implementation efforts of Professional Consultancy International, LLC ("PCI") and their suite of revenue collection, billing and accounts receivable products for the City.

"The City had to consider many factors before making the decision to move forward with Advanced role as prime vendor in addition to the implementation of their CIS solution.", noted Kerry Goode, the City's IT Director. "We completed a very thorough due diligence with both Advanced and PCI that involved a series of in-depth discussions and on-site reviews with our subject matter experts to ensure the respective solutions can meet the City's requirements. And based on these detailed discussions, were very pleased with the results and are excited to be moving forward with the implementation."

This second phase of the City's ERP project includes the concurrent implementation of Advanced CIS Infinity and PCI's Revenue Collections / Cashiering System (RCS), Revenue Billing System and Accounts Receivable suite of products. While Advanced will manage the CIS Infinity implementation, they will also be responsible to ensure PCI's implementation progresses in unison to ensure a coordinated transition to joint production.

As stated by Steve Hammond, Harris Vice President responsible for the Advanced business operations, "We have worked with PCI on other projects and look forward to working with PCI again to deliver a quality, integrated solution for the City." Steve Hammond went on to say, "We are proud to have the City of Danville as one of our clients. We have worked very hard with the City to come up with a project plan that will ensure success for the City and its citizens."

Upon the successful completion of the project, the City will utilize CIS Infinity to streamline and automate the utility billing operations and with the high level of integration between CIS Infinity and PCI's product suite, the City will be able to further automate their revenue / collections activities.

As Goode notes, "This is a very exciting time for the City of Danville and we are looking forward to leveraging the technologies of Harris and PCI to continue to introduce efficiencies within our organization."
